Last Tuesday evening we watched the 1st Blu-ray in the Millenium series: The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, or Män Som Hatar Kvinnor as it’s called in the original Swedish language. Felt quite funny to watch something where everyone spoke Swedish. Haven’t done that in a long while.
The film was quite okay although it didn’t follow the book fully which I felt was a bit of a shame. Do not really understand all the hype though. It wasn’t bad but as a film it didn’t strike me as standing out from a lot of other thriller or police movies.
I feel that I got more satisfaction from reading the book itself. Not that this would be very surprising though since books in general and thrillers in particular is quite difficult to transfer well to the silver screen.
