Star Force Origin Series: That’s it. I’m done!
Well, that’s it. I’m done. I pushed myself to read through to the last book in the main story arc of this series and I have had it.

Mortal Engines: I quite liked it actually.
I have to say that I liked this movie a lot. It is kind of fantasy, science fiction (emphasis on fiction here) and steam punk (or perhaps I should say diesel punk) mixed together.
Mandy -Weird, psychedelic and somewhat enjoyable.
In short the movie is a mix of heavy metal, horror, violence and psychedelic weirdness and I would say that the audience for this movie is a quite small group of people. I’m not really sure that I am in that group.
Star Force Origin Series: Great concept, not so great implementation.
The series has a lot going for it. The writing is not bad at all. The action is quite good. However, there are indeed a fair amount of weak points. I would go as far as to say that there are some parts that are nonsensical and some that are even hugely annoying.
Cry Wolf: I liked it but…
I also have to say that I have been quite saddened lately by the fact that the author struggles with cancer. Despite being under, from what I understand, heavy treatment he is still able to churn out books at a respectable rate. I wish him all the best. The book world would be lesser without him.
Alita – Battle Angel: Not bad at all. I quite enjoyed this movie.
I quite enjoyed this movie. Of course it was a good start that it was directed by Robert Rodriguez. It is perhaps a bit of a young adult movie but that did not stop this old fart from enjoying it.
The Predator: Written by yet another writer with below average intelligence.
Well, I could write that this was a disappointment but, quite frankly, my expectations was not that high to begin with. Hollywood’s remakes of good old classics have been more miss than hit lately. This is a good example of it.
