Normally I like stories where aspiring young magical or otherwise supernatural users who doesn’t know how powerful they really are goes to magical school. I have to say that I am not really convinced by the start of this series though.
This book was a nice read but … I have to say it felt a bit “deja vu”. To me the book felt like it was just a rehash of the same ideas, same story elements, same dialogue, same of everything actually. Maybe I have Elemental Assassin fatigue.
This book series is another one of those “co-written” by some other author and Michael Anderle. Now I am pretty sure that Michael has had more of a consultant role than doing any actual writing. C.M. Raymond has been doing a pretty good job though.
There are not really that much to say about this book. It is the one that ties together the story arcs of the two series. To some extent it can be said to be telling the same story as Life Goes On but from the viewpoint of Michael.
