Princess Gizel Series Books 2 to 5 – Not without issues but I really liked this series.
Obviously I like this series. It is a mix of space adventure and military science fiction. Good heroes, good story, some space fleet action, a lot of running around (a lot of it undercover) kicking bad guys behinds and some not too intrusive romance.
Welcome to my personal hobby blog where I ramble about books, movies, computers, gadgets and anything else that I felt like rambling about.
Please note that this is just a hobby for me and these are my personal opinions about various subjects. I do not aspire to be a professional reviewer so if you do not like my opinions that’s too bad but there are surely other blogs out there for you in that case.
And below you find the latest ramblings in chronological order…
-
Marlowe – Quite good old-fashioned 30’s hard boiled detective movie.
Regardless of what a lot of people claim, this is a quite good old-fashioned murder mystery and private investigator story. Read more
-
Mayhem in Montreal – Decent enough start of new adventures for Fiona.
It is, not surprisingly, a fairly light urban fantasy read. You should not expect any deep stories from this author but just some fun, quite enjoyable, adventure, action and cheeky dialogue. Read more
-
Dragon Missing – Meh
This book was rather meh as far as I am concerned. Read more
-
The Gathering Storm – Good but to much political mischief creeping in.
Overall this is a good book but unfortunately my enjoyment of it is diminished by the author letting too much political mischief creeping back into the story. Read more

Got myself a new NAS for my media.
For many years now I have used a NAS device for storage. A while ago I arrived at the point where I had used about 80% of my available storage capacity which at the time was 24 TB Read more

This is the second book in the Secret Agent Witch series. As the previous book it is a decent read. Not great but decent. Read more
-
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania – Quite good actually.
This one was quite good actually. Marvel is quite a bit of hit and miss lately. It all depends on whether one of the woke retards has gotten their grubby hands on the script or not. Read more
-
Frightfully Fortune – Fun murder mystery.
Another good and amusing read in the Miss Fortune Mystery series. Read more
-
The Spy Who Tamed a Dragon – Hmm, okay but…
It was a decent read, not great but decent. I guess we will see if it stays that way of if the series goes into to-be-dropped land. First book was good enough that I will have a go at the second one in the series. Read more
-
Witch With An Attitude – End of the series which was about time.
This book is the last book in the With Warrior series and, as far as I am concerned, that is a good thing. From a not too shabby start this series turned into a quite bit of a mess. Read more
-
The Firelighters – Okay but not up to the standard of the rest of the books in the series.
Unfortunately, this book does not do as well with me as the other books in the series. I’m not sure it was such a good idea to write a standalone book that is squeezed in between two of the other books in the series. Read more
-
Constant Sorrow – The 15th book in the series and it is still a good series.
When I have read 15 books in a series and still like them (a lot) then it is a good series indeed. Read more

A good, solid science fiction action adventure. Read more

-
Avatar: The Way of the Water – Better than I feared it would be.
Avatar: The Way of the Water was better than I feared it would be. I was really worried that it would turn out to be a preachy woke turd. Luckily that was not the case or at least not soo much as I feared. Read more
-
Leviathan – Pretty much rubbish.
I guess I have myself to blame for wasting time on this rubbish given that the previous book in the series, which I read quite a long time ago, was a letdown but then I am a sucker for giant creature horror stories. Read more
-
Post Holiday Clean-Up.
Just got back from a holiday with my girlfriend and as usual, when on holiday the reviews kind of pile up. Sure, I always bring my tablet with me but I tried once to write a review on my tablet and that’s not an experience that I intend to repeat. Read more

Earthrise books 1 to 3 – Could have been better.
Earthrise books 1 to 3.By Daniel Arenson. My rating ⭐ ⭐ 1/2 out of 5 stars. They came from deep space. They came to destroy us. Fifty years ago, bloodthirsty aliens devastated the Earth. Most of humanity perished. We fell into darkness. But now we rise from the ashes. Now we fight back. Marco Emery was… Read more
-
One Dark Future – Cops in spaaaaaace.
Overall a good and very enjoyable book in the same style as the previous ones. I really liked that they finally got to break in their fancy ship including using all the stuff that goes boom on said ship. Read more
-
Wanted – Okay, not great but okay.
This is an okay book. It has the usual banter between the various main characters including Matti’s hammer. Some magical ass-kicking, conspiracies to be unraveled, tasks to be performed and so on and so forth. Read more
-
She is the Principle – Decent enough start of a new series.
This was a somewhat promising start of a new series. Read more
-
Terminal Fates – Better than the two previous books but still mediocre.
Overall a somewhat entertaining but rather mediocre book. Read more
