Overall the books have a nice mix of dialogue, action, discoveries, twists and other “glue” tying the story together. It is not exactly a WOW experience but it is a decent enough science fiction adventure and I have enjoyed reading these first books in the series. The book is well written and I really liked the main protagonist but… I really disliked the story. So I said to myself that there is a chance that book two will pick up in a direction that is more palatable to me so I held off on the judgement until I had read it. Overall this has been a good series. Mostly 4 out of 5 and a few 3 out of 5 star books. With these last three books in the series we arrive at the conclusion and it was a pretty decent one.
