Metal Graves – Would have been okay if not for…
Well, this book would have been a pretty okay read if not… well I will get to that. Continue reading Metal Graves – Would have been okay if not for…
Well, this book would have been a pretty okay read if not… well I will get to that. Continue reading Metal Graves – Would have been okay if not for…
Overall this series are moving towards the I-might-read-another-book-sometime-maybe-if-I-am-bored zone. Continue reading Black Wings – Meh!
Well, this was an okayish book. A three star rating but, frankly, not a very strong one. Continue reading Savage Harbinger – Okayish.
This story did not work for me at all. All it did was to annoy and frustrate me until the very end Continue reading Drumbeats of Justice – Nope, this one was not my cup of tea.
Valerie finally gaining her Valkyrie powers and the ensuing bad day(s) for the bad guys was pretty cool but apart from that this book mostly felt like a good idea being spoiled. Continue reading Into the Battlefield – Rather mediocre.
I’m not really sure how to review this book. It is the first book in a new series and, as you would expect, there is a lot of character introduction, world building and so on and so forth going on. However, at the end of this book I honestly have no clue where this series is going. Continue reading Valkyrie – Hmm, has potential but…
I’m not going to waste much time reviewing this book since the author screwed it up big time for me by nonsensical woke, green preaching. I am really disappointed about this. Continue reading Dishonorable Angels – Ruined by bullshit, uneducated green preaching.
This is the second book in the Opus X series and it is a decent continuation from the first one although I felt that I did indeed like the first one a bit more. Maybe because the novelty factor of the story and the characters had worn off a bit. Continue reading Shattered Truth – Okay read.
I would say it is a solid three star book. Maybe a tad more certainly not a four star one. I am going to read the next one in the series of course so we will see how it goes. Continue reading Obsidian Detective – Interesting Science Fiction / Crime novel.
When I read the first book, The Last Witch of Kalhoun, in this series I gave it a maybe. After reading this book I’m giving the series a pass. Continue reading Handmade Happenstance – I’m cutting my losses on this series now.
I think this series has promise but it very much depends on what road Anderle takes with the next book in the series. So I guess this one goes on the maybe shelf. Continue reading The Last Witch of Kalhoun Holler – Hmmm, maybe.
Well, Pain and Agony are still going quite strong although this book was not as good as the previous instalment in the series. Continue reading One Mistake Too Many – Okay but can we get a new story arc please.
I quite liked the first book in this series, enough to give it four stars, which is probably why I suffered through it, in some vain hope of getting another one of those four stars books. Sadly it never happened. Continue reading Witch of the Federation VI – Meh, this series was a bit of a waste of time.
This isn’t a big book but it is nevertheless some 250 pages of plain and simple fun read. Continue reading Night Moves – This was a good one.
This was indeed the weakest book so far in this series. I have found this series fairly decent and the previous book, Guns and Attitude, was good enough for me for a four star rating. This one is a two star one I’m afraid. Continue reading The Fires of Hell – The weakest in the series so far.
Quite frankly it was about time this series ended. I think it’s time for Michael Anderle to stop rushing out mediocre books and instead sit down and think about, and think through, some new ideas. I would like to see some new books at the same level of wow factor as the original Kurtherian series and the Brownstone series. Continue reading Checkmate – About time this series ended actually.
Time for another my Latest Reads post to clean up some of my backlog of unreviewed books. Continue reading My latest reads…again.
These books are quite far from being literary masterpieces but they are fun in a way that is very typical for books written by Michael Anderle. I think it is safe to say that I will pick up the next book in the series. Continue reading Pain and Agony books 1 and 2: Cool characters but story somewhat mediocre.
Here comes a few more notes from my latest reads. I actually hoped I could write some more complete reviews, short probably but still reviews, but I have realised that I just cannot find enough time to catch up with my backlog so here goes… Continue reading A few more quick notes from my latest reads.
Overall the story is a enjoyable light read perfectly suitable for some evening reading while relaxing in front of the TV with some equally light TV-show on the screen. Continue reading Earth Bound: Another new light story from Michael Anderle.
The first book in this series was a promising start. However the second book was rather meh. Fortunately this, the third, one is a big improvement of the last one. Continue reading Explosive Negotiations: Pretty good, certainly better than the last book.
Well, that is another series that takes a nosedive. At least in my personal opinion. The first instalment in the series was quite good, again in my opinion of course. This one, not so much. Continue reading The Mystery Deepens: Another series takes a nosedive.
After reading the first book in the series I thought it was a fairly decent start of a new series. It was somewhat original, I liked the main protagonist (most of the time) and overall it was a fairly enjoyable read. This one is not bad but it still felt a bit like a step down. Continue reading Gangland Politics: Meh
I have to say that I was rather disappointed after having finished this book. I’m going to read the series to the end but, honestly, I really hope the next book is the last one. Continue reading The Bitch is Back: It’s really time to conclude this series.
