Thor: Love and Thunder – Seriously? What the f… was this?
The one and a half stars is for the special effects. They were pretty good. The rest of this movie is really bad. Continue reading Thor: Love and Thunder – Seriously? What the f… was this?

I have to say that I quite liked this movie. A bit surprised since it is a new Marvel movie after all. It is even free of woke bull manure which made me even more surprised. Continue reading Morbius – Surprisingly good for being a new Marvel movie.
Why they call it Fantastic Beasts I do not understand. They should call it Boring Political Drama in the Potter Universe instead. Continue reading Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore – Another franchise ruined by Disney.
Although it was nice to watch a Marvel movie which is not just a rehash of the same old universe and which was reasonably woke-free for once this movie was unfortunately pretty meh. Continue reading Eternals – Neither good nor bad.
This is a film that I was on one hand looking forward to watch and on another hand feared to watch. I was really hoping that this movie would be able to reboot the franchise after that abysmal piece of woke shit Ghostbusters (2016) had totally ruined it. Continue reading Ghostbusters: Afterlife – Yeah, almost woke-free.
To me this was great entertainment. A really nice rollercoaster of adventure with healthy dose of humour and fantasy. Continue reading Jungle Cruise: Great Fantasy Adventure Action.
I have to admit that I expected not to like this movie but to my surprise I quite liked it. Continue reading Godzilla vs Kong: I actually enjoyed this one.
Well, I have never played the game so I am not burdened with Monster Hunter canon so I have to say that I very much liked this movie. Continue reading Monster Hunter: I really liked this movie.
Unlike what a lot of people seems to think about this movie I though it was a fairly decent family movie. It’s not great but decent enough. I quite enjoyed it at least. Continue reading Roald Dahl’s The Witches: Quite decent family movie.
If this hadn’t been a cool giant monster movie with a lot of special effects I would have scored it a lot lower. However, I am a sucker for these kinds of movies and I really like Godzilla. Continue reading Godzilla King of the Monsters: Better than the 2014 movie.
Despite the less than stellar ratings this movie has received I have to say that I quite liked it actually. Continue reading Hellboy (2019): I quite liked it actually.
I have to say that I liked this movie a lot. It is kind of fantasy, science fiction (emphasis on fiction here) and steam punk (or perhaps I should say diesel punk) mixed together. Continue reading Mortal Engines: I quite liked it actually.
The first Fantastic Beasts movie was excellent. It was a bright and magical adventure. This one is going down another path and I cannot say that I was overly thrilled by that. Continue reading Fantastic Beasts – The Crimes of Grindelwald: Not really bad but quite dark and sad.
When the credits rolled after having watched this movie with my kids I was perplexed. I knew this movie had not received very great ratings and I had heard rumors that some people had even labelled it the worst movie of the year. However, I had liked watching the movie…a lot. Continue reading Gods of Egypt: Don’t believe the haters of this movie!
If you are set in stone as to what the Pendragon saga should be then watch another movie. If not and you’re up for some nice fantasy action adventure in the Pendragon universe you might like this movie. I did! Continue reading King Arthur – Legend of the Sword: Different and fun Pendragon adventure.
To me this was a fairly decent movie quite adequate for a little Monday evening TV session. It did feel quite a bit like a old western in Asian setting. That is not really bad thing as far as I am concerned. Continue reading Sword of Destiny: Like an old Western in Asian setting.
This is a movie that made me soooo happy that I decided to jump and fork out some money (way too much actually, I’m on a bread and water diet now) for a nice OLED screen. This is another one of those movies that live and die by the visuals. Continue reading The Great Wall: Great visual spectacle.
l would lie if I said that I did not enjoy this movie. It has plenty of action, a bit of biblical mystery and some science fiction. It is a decently entertaining movie. However, I also felt a bit underwhelmed. It is a nice looking movie with some quite good actions scenes but as a whole it is “just” okay for me. Continue reading Assassin’s Creed: Slightly underwhelming.
Personally I found this movie to be 2+ hours of excellent entertainment. This is one of these movies where I simply cannot understand how people can give one and two star ratings stating that it is garbage etc. I do not get what these people expected? Maybe they just have to complain? The original Harry Potter books are very much books for children or young adults and so is this movie. It is a highly entertaining story in a magical universe with some adventure, some suspense and a lot of humor. Continue reading Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them: Long winded title, excellent movie.
I found this to be a quite enjoyable family movie derived from the Peter Pan story we all love. I am not really sure why it holds a fairly mediocre rating on most rating sites. It is undeserved as far as I am concerned. Continue reading Pan: Enjoyable family movie
I found this movie pretty much by accident when flicking through the Netflix catalogue. I thought what the heck and started to watch it. My hopes were really not that high. Actually I am not sure I had any hopes at all since I just stumbled on the movie and started to watch it on a whim. What I found was a rather okay and fun movie actually. Continue reading Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s…: Unexpectedly good.
Before I start I should perhaps mention that, although I consider this a family movie, it is perhaps a bit on the scary side for the youngest member of the family. Anyway, personally I liked the movie and so did my kids. It did have time travel in it which I, in general, utterly dislike but it is a Tim Burton movie so it was already a foregone conclusion that it would be a wee bit bizarre anyway and it had Eva Green, which is one of my favorites, in it so that kind of made up for the time travel crap. Continue reading Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children: Quite nice family movie.
Big Trouble In Little China by John Carpenter on Netflix My rating: 7 out of 10 stars When trucker Jack Burton agreed to take his friend Wang Chi to pick up his fiancee at the airport, he never expected to get involved in a supernatural battle between good and evil. Wang’s fiancee has emerald green eyes, which make her a perfect target for an immortal … Continue reading Big Trouble In Little China: Quite entertaining if you take it for what it really is…a comedy.
47 Ronin by Carl Rinsch on Blu-ray My rating: 6 out fo 10 stars While hunting in the forest, Lord Asano of Ako and his samurai find a young half-breed and take him with them to live in the castle. Several years later, Lord Asano holds a tournament to welcome the Shogun to Ako. The night after the tournament, Lord Asano is bewitched into hurting … Continue reading 47 Ronin: Decent but not great adventure/fantasy movie
